Loneliness

@Alir
I am going to re-join U3A on Monday. I did a few classes before my husband was so poorly and I was caring for him, I never experienced any cliques. Apart from the classes, they put on coach trips and talks. I am going with a friend who I met there before.
I am lucky because my U3A is very close to me and there’s a cafe with home cooked food, so can even have a lunch.
Anyway, I am going to give it a try, you don’t even have to pay for a month, just in case you don’t like it.

Hello Deb5,

please carry on with the bereavement group. I nearly gave up after the first meeting, and, I am glad I didn’t. And now, I cannot wait until the next time. There is only one downside, we only meet once a month. - Take care, Nick.

Probably wont tbh … it was a very odd set up … didnt like it … :frowning:

I think you know if it isn’t for you, I thought it wasn’t right the first time but did go again and it felt worse.

Yeh exactly … i don’t think its for me … will see in 2 weeks time but it was a bit bizarre … didnt really avhieve much … shame they don’t have like a bereaved husband/ wife group really … none of them were … they lost children or mothers … which i know can be as bad really especially children … its just im not in that category …
And i suppose thats whats good about here … we all lost our husbands or wives so we understand each other … xx

Except for the people who accidentally post in the wrong category. But we all know our brains are mush when we are grieving.
