Lonely

…this good weather is so hard…it’s like rubbing salt into the wound. However, I decided to get out today and see what happens… It was not easy. Sitting in a beer garden on my own, I woke this…I hope you can relate. Love to all :broken_heart:

How can I be so lonely, with people all around
Happy chat and laughter, yet I don’t hear a sound
The sun is out, the weather great and summers here again
But in my heart are dark clouds, whilst my eyes provide the rain

Just this time a year ago, we would have been the same
Me and you in harmony, and life was such a game
So many plans and thing to do, the future looked so free
How could we know that summer was the last you’d ever see

So now I sit amongst these happy, smiling folk
I want to scream and shout at them to tell them I am broke
But I can’t, it’s not their fault and they don’t understand
How someone can be lonely with people all around.

…but all you people on here can :heavy_heart_exclamation:

@UnityMan
Best one yet.

This one has brought tears to my eyes… But that is so welcome, I’ve struggled to cry properly, and I really feel I need the release…so THANK YOU for giving me some

I had just poured myself a glass of wine (rarely drank in the house before) before going out in about an hour.
I walk our two dogs to our local pub every teatime at 6 for an hour or so (it’s what we always did together)

The wine, your words and the tears are helping me. Oh and forgetting our two dogs who are sat either side of me as I type :dog::dog::white_heart::white_heart:

Big hugs and cheers :hugs::hugs::beers:

@UnityMan well done for going. It can’t have been easy
We used to love sitting in a beer garden people watching. I’m definitely not up to doing that on my own. Even going out with friends just doesn’t feel the same. The phrase “Being lonely in a crowd” always comes to mind.
