My wonderful mam passed 6 weeks ago tomorrow from a short illness with cancer. I am devastated, she called me her plaster as I healed her heart when I was born as she had had a downs child and lost 2 babies. My heart is absolutely broken I have a wonderful family and we all support each other but it’s so hard. I used to see my mam everyday and she was my person she always made me feel better I now she is not here to tell me everything is going to be okay:disappointed:

I’m sorry for your loss, Claire.
When you lose someone close, it feels like someone has dug a chunk out of your soul and taken it from your stomach area.
This is how loss felt to me, but with time other things can help fill the hole, sometimes these maybe happy memories, sometimes other relationships can also help.
But there is no one who can replace a wonderful mother, who loves without conditions.
Good luck, stay strong
