I lost my grandpa 3 weeks ago and had his service just 4 days ago and I don’t know how to cope. I’m acting like I’m ok and then I snap at everyone before crying by myself. I couldn’t cry at the service as I was having to help my cousin out but I feel absolutely terrible. I know he wouldn’t want me to be sad but I keep going back to the day I found out and then when I saw his casket in the place. How long did it take people to feel better and not want to tear their own heart out to stop feeling this way
Hi Princess darkness, so very sorry for the loss of your grandpa, ..it is very hard coping with the loss of a loved one, wish I could say it’ll get better soon, but it’ll take a very long time to be able to feel even a bit better, because you obviously loved him so much thats why you’re hurting so much, i lost my husband in March, it is still very painful for me, at the beginning you feel numb, like your brain can’t understand what just happened, and then the shock and sadness, ..what helped me was having friends and family around me to offer any support I needed, this site has helped me too, to express my feelings, everyone here understands, we are all grieving, we offer support, give advice if we’re able, or just vent if need be..take care and God bless you ![]()
