Loosing my husband

Its 12 days since my partner lost his life. It was quite traumatic. I went to see him today at the chapel of rest, it still doesnt feel reel. I dont know how i will manage without him. But i know he wont be suffering any more. He was diagnosed with MND last year, we both found the diagnosis a lot to deal with. Not looking forward to the bank holiday weekend.

Hi Lottie, I am so sorry. It must have been heartbreaking to go though that. My wife was given 5 months after cancer diagnosis but managed to live 2 years until Christmas day when she died in my arms. Even knowing what would happen eventually, her death was the most painful thing I’ve ever been through. Some four months on and these weekends are difficult to get through. Life has become terrible lonely place. I hope you have plenty of support from friends and family. You need to be looked after now.
Wishing you all the strength you’ll need

I am so sorry for your loss and what you have been through. My husband died suddenly from a heart attack 7 months ago . I cope by keeping busy . The loneliness is hard to deal with. And with this being a bank holiday it will be harder. I hope you have family and friends to support you. Take one day at a time or even 1 hour at a time . Make sure you are eating and drinking and sleep when you can . Look yourself
