My Dad had bladder cancer which destroyed his kidney function. He had end-stage renal disease and was on nightly peritoneal dialysis for 3 years. That pushed him into heart failure and he decided to stop the dialysis. It was making him miserable and giving him night terrors.
It’s just that it was so quick and so brutal and I miss him 9 months later.
