Losing my 15 week old

Please i need some help. I am feeling very depressed and alone.

Last week i made the choice to terminate my pregnancy, i had onky found out a couple of weeks before that. I had no idea that i was 15 weeks it really knocked me hearing how far i was.

However my circumstances just were not very good at all to have another child.

But now what is done is done but i feel so much sadness and regret and really wish i hadnt done it, I’m crying all the time and just sleeping. Nothing makes sense anymore and i feel so empty.

Has anyone else been through this? Will it get easier in time? I just dont know what to do, im just heartbroken and wish i could turn the clock back and i cant.

Hello @Pinkpumpkin,

I am so sorry for your loss. I can hear how much pain you are in and want you to know that you are not alone.

There is lots of support out there, so I would really encourage you to reach out. It may be a good idea to speak to your GP about how you’re feeling. They should be able to refer you to counselling. You might also want to contact the BPAS who offer care and support after a termination. Their number is 03457 304030.

If you would find support by text helpful, Shout are contactable by text, 24/7. You can text REMEDY to 85258 and talk to them about anything.

Sue Ryder also offers an online bereavement counselling service. This is a free service and sessions are held via video chat so you can attend from home. There’s more information about this service here: sueryder.org/counselling.

Keep reaching out and take care,
Seaneen
