Losing my Dad

I lost my Dad in June and I am just not coping trying to get help but on waiting lists

Hello @Ems11,

I’m Seaneen and I can see that you’re new to the community. I’m so sorry to hear about your dad.

Well done for trying to get help - it is brave to reach out. In the meantime, you might find these sources of support helpful. They don’t have waiting lists so you can talk to someone right away.

  • Samaritans are available 24/7 to talk about anything that you are worried about in confidence. You can call them on 116 123.

  • Shout are contactable by text, 24/7. You can text REMEDY to 85258 and talk to them about anything.

If you need mental health support, you can call 111 and choose the mental health option to speak to a trained mental health professional (England, Scotland and Wales only)

We also have a text support service, online bereavement counselling and our Grief Kind spaces. Please visit our bereavement services at Sue Ryder’s Online Bereavement Support | Sue Ryder

I hope you find the community to be a support to you, too. Take good care,

Seaneen
