Losing my father while pregnant

Hi my name is Claire. I’m 26 and 11 weeks pregnant with my 3rd baby. I live with my partner and 2 children.
My father recently passed away 2 days ago on the 8th of January 2019.
It seemed all so sudden seen as he was getting better.
My dad had pneumonia which caused him to have a cardiac arrest in hospital and he pass away. It was a total shock and still is.
I’m a daddies girl and he’s my world so I’m totally broken and finding it so hard to cope. I’m finding it hard to sleep and to eat too.

If there’s anyone out there who’s been through the same while pregnant, please could you give me some advice?

I need help please.

I can’t give advice on the same situation as yourself, but i did lose my Dad when i was 29 and my mam when i was 34,many years ago now but the grief stays, after losing them i had my 3rd daughter who is 24 now,i have since lost my husband so i understand grief and the pain it brings.Try to look after yourself and your lovely baby, and lean on the support of others around you.Your grief will ease as the months pass, and it will become more manageable, though i know this is recent, and like you say the shock and feeling broken is at the forefront of your mind at the moment. Please take care xx

Hi,
I’m so sorry for your loss. Unfortunately I am in a similar position.
I am 28 and I’m currently 39 weeks pregnant with my first baby. My dad passed away in October when I was 27 weeks pregnant and only a week after his cancer diagnosis.
The only advice I can give you is to get and stay focused on your baby. Myself and my family are still so devasted, but looking forward to the arrival of my baby girl any day now is giving us something to focus on.
I don’t know if you would want to do something like this, but I got a teddy made out of my dad’s jumpers which is cured try sitting in the baby’s cot. This gives me some comfort that he is still watching over us.
Again so sorry for your loss xxx

Sorry for all the spelling mistakes in my last message!
