Losing my Nanna and Grandad

I lost my Nanna and Grandad 6 months apart, both suddenly and it hasn’t fully set in yet, even though it was 3 years ago

Hello @Han2,

Thank you for so bravely sharing this with the community. I’m so sorry to hear about your grandparents.

I hope you find the community to be a support to you. Many of our members have experienced the death of their grandparent and will understand some of what you’re going through. I’m not sure if you’ve seen our Losing a grandparent category. But there you will find lots of conversations from other members who are coping with their grief. You may find some comfort in knowing you are not alone.

You may also find these Sue Ryder resources helpful right now.

I’m sure someone will be along to offer their support too. Keep reaching out and take care :blue_heart:

Alex

Hi, I am really sorry for your loss, I recently too just lost my grandfather and no matter what anyone says will make it better. No “think of the good times” will make it better, as it does not take away the fact that they have gone. My best advice is, CRY. CRY as much as you want, as much as you need. Sit there and look at yourself in the mirror and cry. As cringey as it sounds, everyone needs a good cry. Collect their things, hold them tight and just cry !! I hope you find peace in their passing ! And you have got this !!
