Hi, I lost my son 8 years ago. I thought the pain would get easier but it just gets worse. He was my only child and Mother’s Day was horrific yesterday. Thinking of all you mums and dads out there who have lost your meaning. Xx

Hello @JamesMum2002-2018
This was my third Mother’s Day without my daughter and it was awful. Starting to learn this pain doesn’t ease and life doesn’t go on, how can it? Also learning that thinking things will feel better when the day has passed doesn’t happen either.
It’s her birthday next month, she would have been 24, and I’m now dreading that, there’s always another date, event, holiday to punctuate the year with more grief.
I miss my girl x
