Losing my son

My son was found dead by my mum 4 weeks ago. He was 26y old and had Asperger’s syndrome. The police came for me and I opened the bedroom door to find my beautiful son had been left naked lying on his back after detectives had finished taking photos of his body. I covered him up in his duvet to give the poor lad some dignity. There is no cause of death known yet. I’m just so so sad and feel life is not worth the pain of waking up to this agony everyday. To live knowing I will never see my boy again breaks my heart. I’m totally lost :broken_heart:

I’m so sorry you’ve lost your son. I know your pain.

I’m sorry too that your son was not respected by the police.

So many of us are here to offer support. I lost my son Henry in 2019 just after his 30th birthday. It’s learning to take each hour at a time plus meditation that helped me.

I hope you have people around to support you.

Keep posting here.

Warm hugs

Dear Amanda
I am so very sorry for the loss of your beautiful son. What a dreadful shock for you and your family.
I’m afraid I understand only too well the pain of losing a child. It rocks your whole world and things will never be the same again. It takes a long time to come to terms with something so devastating.
Unfortunately There are many people here who understand so you will hopefully find a little bit of support. X
