Losing my son

I lost my beloved son 8 months ago aged 31 years.
I am struggling with losing him and miss him terribly every day.
I’m finding it difficult to accept that he’s gone the sudden death of his passing.
I find it difficult to comprehend and supporting my daughter through her grief is difficult.

Hi @30991 Very sorry to hear of the loss of your son. I cannot imagine how you feel, but you’ve taken the first step of posting here and you will get support and advice from people in a similar position to you. Have you received or asked for any counselling? Sue Ryder offer online support (Link here: Online Bereavement Counselling Service | Sue Ryder) and having a chat with your GP might open some doors to local support for you and your daughter. I lost my partner to cancer 5 months ago and this site has helped me a lot. I hope that you can get the support you want - keep posting and people will respond and offer their advice and support. Best wishes.

I lost my beloved son four months ago. The GP diagnosed me with PTSD it has been a very difficult time. I cry every day and feel I will never move on. I feel sick all the time which I have been told is because of the anxiety.

Hi Helen,
I can’t say it’s any easier after nearly nine months.
As you I carry the pain around with me every minute of every day, emotionally but physically as well.
It’s a dreadful feeling and I’m so sorry that you’re also experiencing this.
