I’m 50 in June and my mum passed away recently aged 66. She was young when she had me. I wasn’t supposed to lose her so soon.
Finding I’m keeping the family going (including my dad)
I’m breaking inside, my husband can’t cope with stress and is very practical.
I’m also very surprised that friends who have lost parents and I was very supportive to, have not even messaged

I’m sure someone will be along to offer their support, but I wanted to share a few Sue Ryder resources with you that may help right now.

Thank you again for sharing – please keep reaching out and know that you are not alone.

Hi
Similar situation, I’m 56, my mum had me at 18, only child. My dad died 10 years ago
Mum went into hospital in September last year and died 29th October
Finding it really hard too. Been especially difficult around Mother’s Day. Today has been a non stop crying day. Can’t deal with step dad, he shows no emotion just stiff upper lip. He refuses to talk about Mum, feel so isolated too
