The night time and down time is the worse, so many thoughts, How am i going to move forward without both of them the 2 people i loved so much and loved me unconditional for my 49 yrs, Sunday was bitter sweet my 50th without them, Last night was the worse all the hurt hit at once and i was a dribbling emotional shaking ball, Loosing mum 3 months ago and Dad 3 days ago is something i wouldn’t wish on anyone, My only consolation if there is one i will hurt really deeply but all at once for both of them, and then i can move Fwd. Thankyou for this forum as it feels like a safe haven.
I’m so sorry to hear that you’ve now lost your dad too, @Grasshopper7GG.
That is so much to cope with, especially so close to such a milestone birthday. It’s completely understandable to feel this way and you are not alone.

Hi @Grasshopper7GG ,
To loose both parents together so recent is heartbreaking, parents are the one constant in our lives, we’re so used to them just being there for everything, I guess we feel like they will always be there because we’re so used to them being there, which makes it harder to take in when they pass. Sending hugs of support.
