My Dad died today at St John’s Moggerhanger. He had been in this wonderful hospice since Wednesday . I will be eternally grateful to all the staff. Dad was my only close living relative, it so hard. I wonder if anyone else is in a similar situation without siblings or a partner or who has lost both parents. My Dad had suffered so much since Summer 2015 so it is a real blessing that he is finally at peace but will miss him so dreadfully. I should add though that I am so lucky to have a close network of friends.

I’m so sorry to hear that your dad died on Saturday. I am glad that he was well looked-after at our St John’s hospice.
It is natural that you will miss him very much, especially as he was your only living close relative. You have asked if anyone else is in a similar situation, and I just wanted to let you know about a couple of other users on this site who have also lost both parents.
