Hello @Emma1972,

I’m so sorry to hear about your grandad. I just wanted to give your thread a gentle bump as can see you posted a little while ago but haven’t had a response yet. I’m sure someone will be along to share their thoughts.

In the meantime, you may also find our Sue Ryder resources helpful to you as you cope with the death of your grandad.

Take good care and keep reaching out :blue_heart:

Hi Emma. Age shouldn’t come into it. Your loss is still a LOSS, and I’m sorry people have made comments like this. My Nan passed in January - she was in her eighties, that doesn’t make the loss any easier. I still feel it as deeply. I’m sorry that you’ve lost both your grandparents, I’m in the same position, so maybe consider this a little nudge that you aren’t alone. Take care.

Hi there
Thank you so much for your reply …

Im sorry to hear your loss its so hard also the little things that trigger my emotions right now …

Like am currently out in cyprus and thats where i had the call he had gone on his final journey to be with my grandma now im feeling so sad that i cant bring them anything back which is what i would normaly do :cry: xxx

I understand that completely! My Nan loved Toffifee sweets and WHENEVER I see them, I feel it… so you’re not alone, even though I’m sure that only helps a little. Maybe try and think about the fact that your Nan and Grandad would want you to have the most amazing time - that helps me sometimes, but I know it isn’t a cure for all xxx
