Hi first time posting! It’s only 2 weeks since my wife passed and don’t know if it is significant in that the last thing was put in place yesterday for her funeral that I woke at stupid o’clock with stomach pain and like I have been run over by a steam train! Where struggling to see through the fog as is said but learnt from my daughter that my granddaughter who is 3 weeks from birth due date with our first great granddaughter was struggling terribly yesterday she has always been special to her grandma ! Don’t know how this next 3 weeks will go
Dear @Chad I am so sorry for your loss, which is so very recent and you will of course be in a mental fog and in deep anguish and pain, as most of us in this group have been after losing our soulmates.
Grief is extremely fatiguing and so am not surprised that you feel terrible. However symptoms like strong stomach pain might require you calling 111 or seeing a doctor. Please look after yourself. Sending you a big hug
Dear Chad
I’m so sorry for your loss. Please know that everyone here understands the nightmare you are now going through.
For now the most important thing is that you look after yourself and your family. I could only deal with anything that couldn’t wait. You will be suffering shock, exhaustion and brain fog.
Don’t make the mistake I made by putting all my physical symptoms down to grief, if in doubt get it checked by your GP. I hope you have family and friends to help and support you but please know there will always be someone here to listen too.
This group has kept me sane since losing my husband suddenly a year ago. There are some amazing knowledgeable people here who will offer advice on how they coped with pretty much anything, or just an an ear if you want to chat. Welcome to the group no one wanted to join but are glad they found them when they did x
Hi Chad I am sorry you are in this situation suffering. The pain from the death of your wife is terrible and feels like physical pain but what you describe maybe something that needs to be looked at by a doctor as Anita says. The stress that the body goes through at the loss of a loved one is very real can cause problems so I would get an appointment to be checked over. I hope you find the strength you will need. Wishing you all the best Tom
