Lost brother to suicide.

I found out today that my brother had committed suicide. He was only 35 and left behind 2 young children.
I’m struggling to understand why and I feel like I’m in shock. I keep replaying all the information in my head and then feeling awful because I keep thinking about how awful it must have been in that moment. I just don’t know what to do.

Hello there, I lost my big brother to suicide in 2016. Time and talking helps, the shock lessens, the grief simmers more than boils. It’s a terrible thing, still impossible to comprehend. I hope you find some peace. Keep living, talking and moving through. Love the living.

Hello @Doglover ,

I feel for you…..I lost my brother to suicide 6 December 2025 he was 59 with no wife or children….and the grief is unforgiving!!! My brother and I were all we had in this world. The information from the detective, then information from coroner, then the funeral home and all from 6000 miles away…….I am still struggling and not coping. Just know you are not alone in this and there are people who will listen even if none can give wise words it helps to share the thoughts.

I hope you and your family are slowly getting there.

Kind Regards,

Jacqueline
