Hey all,
I lost my grandfather who was like my father and was also my best friend 
exactly a week ago today. I am finding it so hard as when i am home alone i feel that he will be coming back through the door or he will be in his chair. It doesnt feel real and it feels i am living in a dream i cant get out of. Everything is just so hard and doesnt feel like it will get easier as i feel so numb.

I’m sorry to hear about the loss of grandfather. Thank you for bravely reaching out to the community. Many of our members have experienced the loss of a loved one and will understand some of what you’re going through. I hope you find the community to be a support to you.
The feelings that you are describing, like numbness, are common in the early stages of grief. You may wish to explore our Grief Guide which can help you make sense of some of what you are going through.
