Good for you,he’ll most certainly appreciate you being there. I had split up with my controlling,abusive ex so I was living back at home so when mum died there was no way I was leaving dad.
We don’t live near each other unfortunately but I’m desperately trying to get him to move here. But I try and see him as much as I can. So I can look after him properly.

Hi Sophie, I am so sorry to hear that ok you have lost your dad and that the end was so traumatic. I lost my dad in march and my mum in September last year, it’s such a difficult time. I was with my dad when he died and thankfully the end was as peaceful as could be. Things do get easier to deal with but it takes time. Don’t be hard on yourself just take each day as it comes. Take care of yourself.
