Hello, l have been through the same. This website and the people on it have helped me so much. It has been five years for me. It is natural for you to feel like you do. Turn to your family and friends for love and support. My daughter was 37 So a similar age to your daughter. Life is never the same but we have to reach out to other loved ones and remember all the good times we had with our child.

Hello

I understand exactly how your feeling. I too lost my beautiful daughter Elizabeth aged 31yrs in April 2025.

The pain is unbelievable :broken_heart: . You’ll find alot of support on here. Ive found that i can say what I feel and Im not being judged.
Its nearly 1yr without Elizabeth and my pain is just the same as the first day.

Talk to your family and friends. Don’t keep the grief inside let it out.

Please feel free to contact me if you need someone to talk to.

I lost my daughter last year in September at the age of 18, it was such a surreal experience from getting the call my daughter had gone missing & driving for over 4 hours to help search for her to the day I carried her coffin into the crematorium and the heartbreak everyday since she was found.

It’s not getting easier, but I’m fully focused on getting myself healthier for my own good and my mental state. I stopped drinking 7 months ago and I have thrown myself into cycling and training. In may I’m cycling from Sussex to Leicester in my daughters memory, for the charity Youngminds.

You need to take up a hobby or try to focus on something that will help you in a constructive way. Most days and for most of the day I’m on the verge of crying but my two young daughters here keep me busy, and I have filled my time. I feel sitting and thinking too much would not help my mental state.

I hope you can find a way to navigate your grief, it is so hard at the best of times so be kind to yourself.

Morning Wayne2025

Im so sorry sorry for your loss of your beautiful daughter.
We buried Elizabeth as my son was adamant his sister was being cremated. I think it’s so we’ve got somewhere to go to be with her as she was much the light in our family. That lights gone out now and its horrendous .

Good luck with you cycling in memory of your daughter.
Have you been to any counsellor. I go regularly and also now go to the Spiritual church locally.

Its going to be 1yr on 9th April and im dreading that day .

Look after yourself im here if you need to talk.
