Hi everyone I lost my husband to cancer nearly 3 years ago

I do feel stronger this Xmas without him and I feel lucky ( if that’s the right word? ) to have friends and family but every time I am alone I feel this dread and emptiness and scared feeling for the future is this normal

Hi Jon

I’m so sorry to hear about your wife

I am a great believer that they are with us all the time even though we can’t see them?

Yes the pain does ease a little we just learn how to live with our loss

Remember you are not on your own

Thank you Amanda, you are right, but it really is so hard

It is very hard indeed

Just try and get through each hour at a time not one day and keep as busy as you can

This helps me a lot

That’s exactly how I feel it’s that scary feeling of what’s going to happen in the future and so much emptiness.
