Lost my solemate and don't know how to carry on!

Hi my name is Debbie … This is the first time I’ve been on one of these groups. And reading the posts just made me cry!!! I lost my husband march 2025 and I still haven’t got over it!!!

We had a four year long battle as he had cancer of the throat and ended in him haveing a full larangectomy so he couldn’t speak, or breath properly but he fought on so hard. He never wanted to leave me because we loved each other so much. But now I have no one so Just had to post!

What do i do now?

Dear Debbie I am sorry to hear about your husband. My wife was given five months to live after a bile duct cancer diagnosis, fortunately for me she survived almost two years until she died in my arms on Christmas day. The pain was unbearable, I thought I was prepared for the worst but when she died I felt like was being ripped apart. I don’t think anyone understands how terrible it is to lose your loved one. Someone who has grown to becoming one with you, I hope you find some solace here where everyone understands the pain of a bereavement.
Thinking of you and sending hugs

Wishing you all the best Tom

Your tears from reading could be from realising you are not on your own with your desperate thoughts.

Yes it is so sad to read so many heartbreaking posts of ghosts of people from loosing their very being, their true love, their only one.

But there is also total understanding on the site and you could be able to unlease your deepest, darkest thoughts trapped in your tortured mind.

We are alll a bit nuts but golly we do have good reason to be.
