My mum died suddenly on Nov 5 2021. Unfortunately, I also lost a lot of my family including all my 3 siblings as they no longer want anything to do with me and are making horrible false accusations against me. In less than 12 months I also lost a number of friends. On top of that, 9months to the day that my mum died, I found out my best friend who was my other confidante (beside my mum) committed suicide. I have mental health problems and I struggle so much. Sorry, I just needed to vent. Thank you for reading.
Hello @HeatherES87, thank you for starting this thread, it takes a lot to share our feelings so openly. I wanted to let you know that you have been heard. I am so sorry for all the losses you have endured. It is such a lot to cope with. Are you getting any support right now? You may find some of our Sue Ryder resources helpful:
- Our Bereavement information pages
- Our Online Bereavement Support, which includes our free online bereavement counselling which is held via video chat, our Grief Guide which has interactive tools to help you cope with grief, and Grief Coach, where you can receive personalised support via text
I hope you find the community to be a support to you, too. You are not alone.
Take care,
Seaneen
I am really sorry to hear that, @HeatherES87. It might be a good idea to make an appointment with your GP and talk about how you’re feeling right now.
We have a Losing a parent category, where you can connect with members who have sadly lost their mums. You might also want to take a look at Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide. They have support groups where you can meet others who have lost a loved one to suicide.
I hope this is helpful - you deserve help and support so I really hope you consider some of these options.
