Love does get you through grief

Hi all
It’s been a while since i last posted. Into recently I have been dealing feelings of being overwhelmed and I’m still dealing with this feeling
I know what is getting me through losing my mum and that’s love and the support I have with one person who doesn’t just love me but is there for me. It’s easy to give up when grief consumes when it decides it wants to hurt you but it is how you deal with it. You face it head on it knows what it can do and if you let it’ll torture you on the bad days. I know that now. I look after myself and surround myself with love because if you haven’t got love you don’t have much it may sound silly it’s not really
Grab every bit of happiness and hold onto it don’t ever let it go. Grief is about sadness but we all have to live with it because grief will never leave you it’ll be with you until you leave the world. It’s sad but true.
When I lost my mum 9 years ago I thought it’s the end of my life and I know my mum would want me to live my life making her proud like she made me proud to be her son. God I miss her so much I love you mum and I know you hear it mum

Beautiful words.
So true.
Thank you for posting them.
Love changes everything.
We played the song called The Greatest Gift at mums funeral. Sang by Andrea Bocelli and his children. It’s all about love being the greatest gift.
If you can listen to it you will see what I mean
