My dad died last year so iv already had a christmas without him but this one seems even worse than last year im totally not in the festive mood an just keep feeling so sad and teary i wish he was still here.

Hi, i can totally relate to this.
This is the 3rd Christmas without my Mum and its the worse one yet! Everything is different, even Christmas films i used to love don’t bring a smile.
Do you feel like you could just run away from it all?

Hi thanx 4 ya reply yes thats exactly how i feel i cud just go somewhere miles away im so sorry for your loss as well its just so difficult this time of year as theres a massive part of the family missing and its even more noticeable and my mum hasnt been the same since he died i hope your xmas is as happy as it can be.

Hi @Flowers1 My Dad also died last year so I too have had that dreaded year of firsts but like you said this one seems worse. Just wanted to reach out so you know you’re not alone. It’s that realisation that this new life is permanent I guess. Hope you get thru the day ok.

Oh yes. Third Christmas without Dad. Just the two of us for 30 years since Mum died. We had a tradition of watching three films regularly over Christmas Day and Boxing Day. Just cannot even start them. Everything feels so empty without Dad. Hugs!
