My Mom had a heart attack 2 weeks ago. She was recovering really well and came home on Christmas Eve. She was in really good spirits and was positive about her recovery. She was showing no signs of being poorly. My Dad phoned this morning to say she’d passed away

So sorry for your loss. Lost my mum in march after a fall. She was expected to recover. Not the same as she was nearly 90 and i work in social care so knew the likely outcome but it was still a shock and unexpected. There’s a thread on here about sudden loss of mum which I’ve found very helpful. Hope you have support and that this community helps - it’s certainly helped me.

I’m so sorry to hear this, my mum was admitted into hospital on 8th November after a fall she was okay but showing signs of confusion UTI infection, whilst in hospital she had a stroke and died on 19th November 2024 we had her funeral on 20th December 2024… I can’t leave the house I just keep crying and it’s affecting my marriage and probably my children… I’m at a loss how to get back to normal… plus I gave up work 2 years ago to help mum and now I have no day to day routine anymore without her xx
