Dear @Sandypaws022 , yes anxiety in the mornings was the worst for me and others here have shared that mornings are also their worst time of the day. I had horrible palpitations and anxiety in the mornings so I went to my GP, they gave me propanolol which I have been taking now for 5 months and which takes some of the edge of that horrible feeling upon waking up in the mornings. I also have been attending private councelling. Sending you a big hug!

Hi @Sandypaws022
Yes! Mornings are definitely a problem for me!

I lost my wife suddenly to a heart attack in December 2024 and although the shock has eased, life without her is indescribable. I feel as if I’m walking around in the fog without a visible destination.

I’ve said on here before that every day is like the film Groundhog Day. I wake up and the dreadful realisation quickly descends on me. I then have to rebuild my positivity through the day with various activities and distractions. By the time evening comes I’m not feeling too bad and really don’t want to go to bed because I know the time loop is waiting for me tomorrow.

As time goes on I think I have got better at ‘Raising My Vibes’ as one of my favourite authors (Kyle Gray) puts it, but then there are still times when nothing works. Grief is exhausting and sometimes you just need to rest.

Look after yourself.
