I love Italy and their music, I was even studying Italian language, opera singing and piano as well. I and my most beloved husband were there twice on our two honeymoons. If I would have known what’s going to happen, we probably stayed and lived there, it wouldn’t be impossible, I think… My granny’s ancestors had come from there, I think and I find Venice to be the most romantic city to live in… But who could have ever known what’s coming? I still struggle with listening to the music, it’s tearing up my heart, I even can’t touch the piano. he had bought me, since he died… I’ve tried a few times for him, but it’s still very painful…

No, I don’t have a family there, but I don’t worry about it. I’m not a citizen here either. I have a permanent green card and a citizenship in my country. This is my paradise here, but if I couldn’t save my home, I can imagine to go there and find a work there as well. It’s all so complicated, Tom… I stopped making big plans… Only God knows.,

Hi Janka, it’s best to do whatever you find easier at the moment but if you are a citizen of an EU country you can live wherever you want in the EU. If you had a family member who used to be an Italian citizen like a grandmother or great grandmother you can ask for Italian citizenship and also live in any EU country. A couple of years ago I had to become a Spanish citizen as England left the EU which made it difficult for all the English who were living happily around Europe. Anyway I wish you a good night’s sleep.

I should sleep, because I get up in 5 hours, but this place gives me a comfort that I need. You’re right that being a part of EU makes it easy, but now I’m here and nothing is easy anymore. Anyway, I appreciate that I can share this with people here who care… I’m also happy that I’ll have a day off on my birthday. Nobody will push me there then.
