My Dad died last month after a horrible few days, he was fine one day and on fine form despite his dementia and remembered a lot. The next day he became ill and we agreed a DNR for him. The next day he we agreed pain relief only. The next day it was his birthday which he spent unconscious. He died in the early hours of the following morning. I found out he had died on his birthday (due to the time difference). I couldn’t go to his funeral again due to the distance involved.
I am so very sorry that your dad died, you are very welcome on this forum, the members, here are so compassionate and understanding.
