My fiance passed away on 27 June having suffered a heart attack. It happened while I was with him with no warning at all. We were talking one minute and he was gasping for breath the next. I called an ambulance and went to hospital with him but whatever they tried didn’t work and he passed away. He was only 57 and had recently taken early retirement. I’m trying to come to terms with my loss but find it difficult at times.

I lost my, seemingly fit 60 year old husband to a heart attack in April. It’s such a shock when you have no warning, although I feel it is equally hard in a different way for those who see their loved one becoming ill and weakened by disease. There just is no easy way to lose the one you love.
