I lost my grandfather 9 years ago and I still haven’t gotten over it. I’m so afraod that the few memories I have will go and I’ll have nothing left. I just don’t know how to let go of his death
I work in the Community Team here and I wanted to say welcome to the site. I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your grandfather. Please don’t feel under pressure to ‘get over it’ - there is no timeline on grief.
Do you think you would find it comforting to have something like a memory book, or box? You could write down all the happy and funny memories there, or keep little things that remind you of him. I’m sure you won’t lose those memories of your grandfather, but you may find this reassuring?
