I miss my mum so much, she died in May at the grand old age of 89. I’m the youngest of 11 and I’ve lived away from them all for most of my life. I can’t quite reassemble my life knowing she is no longer there. It’s been nearly 6 months surely this should be sinking in now?

Sorry for your loss. I know how you feel. I miss my darling mum terribly. She passed away three and a half years ago.
I guess what I’m trying to say is that it’s still early stages for you and at the end of the day no matter the distance you lived from each other she was your mum and it will take time.
Be kind to yourself, there is no time limit on grief. We all cope in different ways or in my case at the moment not!
