My nan passed away suddenly 81 heart attack i think. Haven’t really been told much. Unfortunately there’s been a family break down and now my uncle and aunt have forbidden me and my mum anywhere near the funeral arrangement or anything. Denying the final goodbye and not even her little dog say good bye. I will never forgive them for this. I’ve been off work for a while aswell with health problems and then this happened, so I’m looking at going back this week. Although I don’t know if I’ll cope. Any words of advice would be lovely.
Hello @Cartz911,
I’m so sorry to hear about your nan. It must be all the harder when you’re being denied the chance to say goodbye. Perhaps you and your mum could do something together to honour her?
Many of our members have experienced the death of their grandparent and will understand some of what you’re going through. I’m not sure if you’ve seen our Losing a grandparent category. But there you will find lots of conversations from other members who are coping with their grief. You may find some comfort in knowing you are not alone.

Im sorry to hear about the loss of your nan. I lost my nan and grandma just over a month ago a day apart. Was there a place that your nan loved that you could go to with your mum and her dog for a walk? Maybe lay some flowers there for her?
Yes that’s a good idea actually I travel back home today and I just feel like breaking down
We’re all here for you. I cried on and off all day yesterday so I understand.
