Today is not like other days, this is my older sister she got married in Tanzania,in another country, she refused to get married here.
She called me & i told her about the situation am facing , about my child .they refused to give him a name, she came back, reached here at midnight,she didn’t tell me that she was coming. Today morning at 8:00am she took my son to his grandfather’s house,(my father in law) the grandfather called clan Elders, she didn’t argue with them just gave them money,THEY GAVE MY SON A NAME, FINALLY HE HAS ANAME. SHE HAS TOLD ME THAT SHE IS NOT GOING TO COME BACK ,SHE GOT TIRED OF OUR TRIBE & IT’S BARBARIC TRADITIONS, BELIEFS, CULTURE & COLORISM.
She has taken me to the salon in next town, going to work on my hair,
when people get exposed to other communities they stop believing in our traditional beliefs & cultures. if the belief was so important why did they accept her money..??
I feel sad b’se she is traveling back tomorrow.
