My mum passed away after a long and traumatic illness when I was young and now my friend has just lost her mum. I want to be there for her but I’m feeling a lot of emotions from my own loss, but I want to give her my all

I’m so sorry that you lost your mum. It’s completely understandable that your friend’s loss would bring up a lot of emotions for you. Our Grief Guide self-help platform can explore some of these emotions with you. Please do be gentle with yourself - it’s great that you want to support your friend, but you are important, too.
