How do you cope when there is no funeral my aunt past at the weekend and she decided she want a pure cremation before she passed away. Im really struggling to cone to terms with fact shes no longer here
Hi @Ksitbs . My wife had a private cremation. My only concern was that I didnt want it to be a lonely affair, both for her and me. I wanted to be with her, so myself and two of our greatest friends went to the crematorium at the time of the cremation (they will tell you) and stood outside in the garden of remembrance and her dogs and I said our last goodbyes. Then off for a good breakfast.
For everybody else, on a different date, I booked a great buffet in a local pub, and invited whoever wanted to come. We had photos of her life scrolling on a large screen, I sang her favourite song, a friend wrote and performed a song for her, many people stood and told us how they remembered her. All in all, everybody (particularly me) said the whole thing was as good as it could possibly be.
Thank you for replying I like the sound of what you have did for your wife. I will think about doing something with my two girls over next week.
Hiya My husband had a pure cremation his choice.
Me and his daughter went for a meal and cried our way through.
