I have thinking about old flames after after my husband died over two and a half years ago wondering if they are still alive because I have been wondering how their life went on and can only find them when they die. It feels odd really but with so much alone time now living on my own my mind wanders over my life.

Hi so sorry for your loss. I lost my wife in March this year, so it’s coming up to 19 weeks.
I think it’s only natural that you start thinking of old friends, whether flames or not, at a time like this.
I feel so lonely in a large house, without the sounds of my wife, that my mind also wanders. I keep the radio on for the most of the day, just to have a bit of noise.
I moved away from Wales in 1971 and spent the last 26 years living in Northants. I intend moving back to Wales as soon as my house is sold. I can at least be among my old musical friends.
In the last couple of weeks, I have been wondering what has happened to some of my old friends, including a school girlfriend.
Having been with Jackie, my wife, for 60 years, nearly 58 of them married, my old flames are really that old.
