This morning a letter from my husband’s university arrived addressed to him. I thought I’d notified everyone over 3 years ago. Looks like I missed this one.
I contacted them straightaway and had the most understanding reply.
However, I have been told to expect some more correspondence as it has already been prepared.
Hi @DENISE16,
Thank you so much for sharing this with the community I’m sure someone will be along to offer their support, but I just wanted to let you know that you have been heard and you are not alone.
Take good care,
Kate

Hello Denise16 I hear you and feel your pain. I keep my husband’s mobile going and still have to follow up on messages or requests plus letters addressed to him 17 months on. Initially it was the hospital appointments that were the most hurtful but it’s helped to think of it being an automated system rather than human beings that just don’t know or care. It’s so easy to miss people / organisations off the list . He kind to yourself
I keep my husband’s phone also, i text to him all day everyday, i also read his last text as it makes me feel like that hes talking to me
I do the same Poppet1973 and have kept his answerphone messages and it’s his voice on the landline which freaks some callers out to hear his voice … for me I can’t think of erasing it . After 17 months it’s ok some days to read the family WhatsApp conversations and laugh at the silly gifs or comments he made especially to the kids . His humour is what made us friends in the first place and after 35 years together since uni I miss it / his laugh and quick wit so very much.
