Last year I nursed my younger sister, I watched her slowly fade away till she died in November. We were incredibly close, same career and we lived next door to each other helping each other to bring up each other’s children. Six weeks ago our family dog died suddenly and last week my best friend of 38 years passed away of cancer. Her funeral is this week. What am I supposed to do now?

Hello Anne. So sorry to hear of the loss of your sister, …you took care of her, and I know how hard it is to see our loved ones fade away, i lost my husband in March, before he ended up in the hospital for the last time. I took care of him, ..and the loss of your best friend must have been devastating, so sorry for everything you’re going through., I hope you have other family members who can help you cope with your loss, ..counseling or bereavement groups help most people, .. take care of yourself and God bless you

Hi Anne I am so sorry to hear that you are suffering. To lose people who are so close to you is terrible. I’m finding things hard too after my wife’s death on Christmas day. She was everything to me and we were glued together for so long that now I don’t know what I am supposed to do on my own.
I hope you find some comfort here on this site where everyone has suffered the pain of bereavement and are trying to help eachother to keep on going.
