Morning everyone,
I’m posting to let you all know we have made a slight change to the Equality, diversity and inclusion section within our Terms & Conditions to outline the support we offer when we are concerned about the wellbeing of a community member.
We know there are several international community members and users - we can see how important the community is to so many of you. However, for those accessing the community from countries other than the UK, please know that we are only able to signpost with confidence to further support services within the UK. If we are concerned about the safety or wellbeing of international users, we will direct them to the Befrienders Worldwide website. Befrienders Worldwide is an international network of over 350 active crisis helplines in 35 countries - their volunteers are trained to offer 24/7 support to those who are suicidal or in despair.
We are proud that we are a diverse community and we will continue to welcome people from all backgrounds and countries. However, we want to remind community members that we are a UK-based charity and therefore, when we need to, we can only signpost to UK support services.
