Proof of Afterlife

This topic is the only thing that is keeping me going. Hearing people’s stories of seeing their loved ones in a dream, something supernatural happening to them, signs or ghosts.

I have always believed in ghosts and if they are real then surely the after life would also be.

My sister has had dreams of our beloved mother who has passed only a few weeks ago. In the dream she is playing with two children, my mother had lost two children in her lifespan. So I wonder has anyone else had experiences like this?

Hello Zara, i feel the same of yourself.I like to believe there is an afterlife, its this thought that helps to keep me going too.I have read many books on the subject since losing my dear wife. There has to be a “bigger picture”.I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your dear mother.I have to admit i havent had any similar dreams but there have been occassions when i have sensed physical and mental “signs “.I try to keep my mind open to receiving these type of things. We are all different as human beings and some may have no religion or faith or belief in these things but i want to believe there is something more to what we know.

Thank you for your post Zara it was really interesting.

Take care.

Hi, I’m so sorry to read about the passing of your beloved mum. Mine passed away 5 months ago. She was the kindest, sweetest soul you could ever meet. My heart is broken, and I fear for what the future lies ahead. Every day is endless, I can’t see a world in which my mum isn’t in it.

Regarding ‘dreams’, I’m quite skeptical (and probably a bit cynical) on these, as I think sometimes vulnerable people can interpret things because they want to believe. However…..

About a 2 months ago, I had a dream. It was clear as day, like watching a film, and I still remember everything about it, as if I just had it 5 minutes ago.

In the dream, my son and I went to visit my mum and dad’s house. As we got there, the house was in darkness. As we got closer, I could see there was a light on around the back. And through the front door, I could see my mum in the hall. Next, my mum, son and I are standing in the hall when my dad comes down the stairs, saying to my son “I hope you’ve brought money to buy me a cup of tea” (he always joked with my son about bringing money with him when we went to visit, then wouldn’t let him spend it). We all laughed, then the 4 of us stood in a circle and hugged. No more words were spoken.

I can still remember every last detail of the dream. It’s not gone foggy or cloudy. It makes me so emotional thinking about it (and typing it there). My dad’s world is absolutely shattered with mums passing, so to see and hear him laughing and joking like he used to do, is also gut-wrenching. Our lives will never be the same again.

I know dreams can be strange, or a bit surreal, but this dream was as clear as if I lived it yesterday. I will never ever forget it. The 4 of us, reunited in a circle, hugging. It knocks me for six still now.

I just wanted to share that, keep believing your mum is around.

God bless you

I think you’re right keeping an open mind is key. I know some of these topics may sound crazy to some people but it’s not like it’s the first time. People have been passing since the beginning of time and yet this topic is very much alive, it’s still in people’s heads, religions and faiths. There must be something there. Otherwise what’s the point of it all?

Wow Mikey! That dream sounds surreal. I think the way you feel during and after the dream tells you a lot about it too. To me as an outsider it sounds like a message that one day you’ll all be reunited again, that’s what the hug in the hallway represents to me. I’m not a spiritualist or anything but just an interpretation. With your dad, I can’t imagine how it must be to watch him be like this. I find asking questions about happier times helps some people. Asking him questions about her that only he knows, like their first date or their wedding.

For me, I believe the after life is real and we will be reunited with our loved ones. We don’t know how long we have left and I’m only 29, so being reunited feels too long away for me. Thinking of how much more life I have left without her fills me with dread. I now look at older people and wish I was their age so I’d be closer to being reunited with her. I know it’s not a good way to look at things but you’re mind goes to dark places during this time and nobody understands apart from those going through it.

Thanks for sharing your story. God bless x

Yeah I believe it was a message. I’m normally quite hesitant to read too much into these things when other people tell them (like they want to believe so badly), but this was more like a memory, than a dream. I experienced a lot of emotions in the dream, all that are still extremely vivid today. I will remember it forever.

That’s understandable how you feel. I’ve been to dark, dark places since mum passed away. The pain, hurt and despair can be relentless and excruciating.

When walking through hell, don’t stop x
