This December, Sue Ryder is inviting people to remember their loved ones at a series of winter remembrance events which will be held across the country.
Celebrate a Life offers the chance for people to come together with family, friends and others in the community who are also living with loss. The gatherings provide a space to celebrate the lives of people who have died and the opportunity to remember some special memories of those who meant so much to us.
All six Celebrate a Life events are free to attend and welcome anyone. The events will feature live music, readings, poems and a moment for peaceful reflection as well as an invitation for guests to commemorate someone special, by sharing a message which will be displayed on a dedication screen during the event.
There are six remembrance events taking place in 2023:
- Sue Ryder Celebrate a Life Leeds – Sunday 3rd December, 2:00pm to 3:30pm at Leeds City Museum.
- Sue Ryder Celebrate a Life Aire Valley – Wednesday 6th December, 6:30pm to 8:00pm at East Riddlesden Hall.
- Sue Ryder Celebrate a Life Gloucestershire – Wednesday 6th December, 7:00pm to 8:30pm at St Matthew’s Church.
- Sue Ryder Celebrate a Life Peterborough – Wednesday 6th December, 6:30pm to 8:00pm at The Cresset.
- Sue Ryder Celebrate a Life Thames Valley – Wednesday 13th December, 6:30pm to 8:00pm at The Great Hall, University of Reading.
- Sue Ryder Celebrate a Life Bedfordshire – Monday 18th December, 7:30pm to 9:00pm at Bedford School.
