Hi I lost my Mum a few weeks ago and am struggling with anxiety. I think this is partly due to the fact that I work on a hospice at home team and feel stressed at the thought of being with people who are dying. I feel like I need something just to take the edge off and my GP is contacting me today so we’ll see what they say. I’m normally so calm and meditate daily but it’s not helping. Just needed to get it out there. Thank you for reading.
So sorry to hear your lost your Mum. How long has it been?
I could not even begin to imagine being around dying people, even nearly a year after I’ve lost my Dad. Is there any way you could move departments? Or perhaps take a sabbatical?
Sorry, just a few suggestions, I hope you don’t mind. I just can’t imagine that being a good environment for someone who is already grieving.
Sending love x
Hi Daffodil, thank you for replying. My Mum died a few weeks ago and I returned to work this week. Fortunately I work on the flexibank so if I need to come home I can and they are very understanding.
