Sensitive topic

But if a sensitive one but I’m hoping to at least get some clarification, put my mind at ease a bit.
I lost my dad in June last year from lung cancer, very quickly he was on palliative care then end of life care only lasted 3 weeks from diagnosis.

This is the sensitive bit - I was also raped a year earlier but never told my parents until March 2023, then two months later in May my dad gets diagnosed with cancer, is this a coincidence or what? I’ve read online that stresss/trauma can make cancer progress is this true does anyone know?

Should I speak to my GP?

I’m sorrr for your loss & also what has happened to you, but rest assured the cancer your dad suffered is what happened within his body nothing to do with stress/trauma etc… whoever wrote that has no medical evidence back up that statement.

Part of grief is guilt & we all seem to look at how we behaved etc… & bear ourselves up, it’s a phase of grief, you’ll pass through it.
