Sharing Favourite Places and Memories by Photo

I am inviting anyone who wishes, to share photos of favourite places and photos of pets, animals, etc. This is meant to be. a sort of light relief from all the sad posts we naturally want to share. Obviously only share photos you are happy to have in the public domain and I suggest you do not share photos of yourself or loved ones.

The photo I have shared here is of a butterfly on my hand at a local butterfly centre, close to where I live

This is our new dog Barney! He’s approx 2 years, we only adopted him last weekend but he has settled so well already. Andy would be horrified though, as both our dogs are now sleeping at the top of the bed!!! Our original dog, Lily, was only ever allowed on the bottom of the bed and only if Andy wasn’t home!!! She’s lying in one of her many beds around the house!! :dog::dog2::two_hearts:

Oh he’s lovely! Sounds like he’s really making himself comfortable, which I think is typical of pets! Thank you for sharing the photos.

Here is my old Staffie, who turned 15 a couple of weeks ago. The one where she’s standing was taken on her birthday.

She is also sleeping on my bed!

Another lovely dog! I think they often feel they own their owners, not the other way round, so in her mind you are privileged to sleep in her bed!

My partner’s son’s cat, who I feed when he is away. He is rather appropriately called Nero, after the Italian for black, not the emperor. I treat him to the “little black baby” routine, gently scoping him upon his back, tickling his tummy, rocking him and calling him my little black baby. Often he seems to enjoy this treatment, but sometimes he gives me a long-suffering look, which seems to radiate “For God’s sake, man just put the food out!”

What a sweetheart! My Lily is a collie x staffie with a bit of New Zealand hunt-away thrown into the mix and is 13. She’s giving young Barney a good run out though, her little legs are determined to get her to the ball first!!! :dog2:

This is Fred. Although he also likes beds, his favourite place is the window sill where he can watch the world go by

This is one of my daily walks. I favour countryside or beach as they offer the most to me. This is an evening stroll , the sky was beautiful
This time Nelly (dog) and I had company !

Beautiful beach! I , likewise, feel drawn to the countryside and sea. I live relatively close to both and it’s a pleasure to see nature in all its glory

Lovely dog!

Here’s a tree which inspires me, very close to where I live. It’s old and battered. It has clearly lived through hard times

Mine’s called Silke. They are fantastic dogs, kind and very sensitive. She is my second Staff. Best £60 I ever spent!

A sunny walk with my Goldie Fergus. Nature, exercise, my dog with me … definitely therapy for me after losing Mum to cancer 10 weeks ago :orange_heart:
Lovely looking at other people’s happy pictures. Thank you x

Lovely! Thanks for sharing. The idea here is to show us all distractions from our grief.
