I miss my Jinny , my lovely German shepherd, she left us 10 years ago, It is so comforting when a cold wet nose touches your hand))

We don’t appreciate what surroundings we have. Try and get some rest. Speak tomorrow. You will get help, advice and empathy from this group. They are a really friendly bunch. We are all trying to come to terms with our loss and it makes such a difference when others understand.

 Hugs Till tomorrow, thank you for being with me tonight

What you wrote is very similar to my situation. My husband began his decline on April 4, 2024. Five different hospitals, so many different doctors, finally at home with a hospital bed and finally hospice until 9/17/24 when he passed. I’m so lost now that I’m not dealing with a million different issues to help him. Even writing on here I feel like I’m just rambling.

indeed, our bad day was 30th of May , John had a mini stroke, not diagnosed , than a full blown stroke, aspiration pneumonia, recovery , relief and hope and than a fall . John died on the16th this month in my arms.
I fear the day of his funeral. Can’t imagine life without him

I lost my wife of 54 years having been together 56 years August 24th this year. In 2019 she had a cancer removed from her breast which was benign then a further lumpectomy 2023 which was malignant. This february they told her everything was clear and we planned some holiday time however on a routine check a month later they said they had missed a cancer in her hip bone which was aggressive. I nursed her for several weeks before it led to a dvt and then low platelets. We were told she would be coming home but she then contracted hospital pnemonia and died 3 days later. Im trying so hard to keep on top of it but lm aged 76 and its a lifetime of loss in front of me

So sorry for your loss. It’s a very hard and lonely time, but this forum is wonderful, everyone is so kind and understanding of what you are going through.

So sorry for your loss. I had been with my husband for 43 years and lost him suddenly to a heart attack in June. It’s early days for both of us and all I can say is make sure you are eating properly and looking after yourself x
