I thought I’d buy something to plant in his memory. Went to the garden centre yesterday with no idea what to get, then saw a tree with a variety named after something we both had in common. An obscure link, not an everyday thing, but something that meant a lot to us both. I bought 2. I’m taking that as a sign xx
This is a fascinating thread and similar to some above, after learning the sad news that a cousin passed away just 4 days ago it was with a heavy heart that the next day I just had to get out and walk. I was heading through a local park and there on a gravel pathway was a beautiful white fluffy feather. I honestly haven’t noticed similar for ages yet whenever a bereavement somehow always a white feather. Somehow just seeing that feather gave me a sense that my cousin was ‘ok’. I then did all my walking/shopping etc then thought on way home to see if the feather was still there. Well sure enough there it was although being on a gravel footpath reckon it had been trodden on - no matter I decided to take a photo as a reminder when I felt low. Then walking back home noticed almost a trail of white feathers along the way which hadn’t been there earlier. Otherwise I can also relate to others’ comments of robins - ever since my dad passed away I always feel comforted when I see robins. Otherwise music too, especially after a bereavement or around an anniversary somehow a relevant tune will play on telly/in a shop/wherever and somehow the volume is different, it really seems to connect with me and of all the zillions of tunes it was that tune at that place and time - quite extraordinary and always makes me feel connected with those loved ones.
