My son died 5 weeks ago aged only 20.
He was getting ready for a party, complained of a sore throat, and passed away
He was in supported living, and had been complaining of a sore throat and chest pain for over 2 years.
Being disabled with known congenital heart issues he should have been sent for further tests but all he was given by his gp was paracetamol
I cannot focus on anything other than ive let him down
My wonderful loving son has now gone and i just cant come to terms with it
The coroner has been unable to determine cause of death and we feel like we are in limbo
I just cant forgive myself for not pushing the medical profession more on his behalf although friends tell me i couldn’t have done any more

I’m so sorry . I also lost my 31 year old daughter 5 weeks ago and am utterly devastated. Life is so hard without her . I also constantly ask myself could I have done more with the medical profession. I am finding it difficult to even get up eat I’m also kind of hiding myself away from friends as I’m just not ready to deal with them . Life will never be the same I’m sure for both of us x

There is not much more you could of done . I keep saying more should be done in the way of test for special needs people , not only on the heart,but for cancer when they are on long term medication.
My son with special needs died of secondary bone cancer. He started to complain of pain in the hip and spine ,was told it was muscular to rub deep heat in . Then he could not get out of bed one day got him to hospital ,mass on his spine and hip… They could not find primary. Then about a week before he died they said they found a ulcer in his stomach.He had no symptoms. He was 47 when he died, they don’t seem to check them regular.
